My Place To Call Home

cowboy church

How did Cowboy Church come about?  Once upon a time, there was a church in Circleville, which was growing, and doing what God wanted them to do. To "Be Christ in the community". The problem was… their building was too small to house them in 1 service. So, back in the early 80’s, the church went to 2 identical services. One service was at , and the other at . This arrangement worked well for many years, and served the needs of the community, by providing 2 different times to worship on Sunday morning. The need arose for a different, more progressive style of worship music, so the leadership of the Circleville Christian Church decided that it was time to make the 2 services a little different from each other. This change has evolved over the last decade, into 1 contemporary, and 1 traditional service. (Although you can’t really call the contemporary, contemporary, because it’s much different than any other contemporary church service around, and you can’t really call the traditional service “traditional” because it’s also different than any traditional service in any other church.)

However, in the fall of 2004, God began impressing upon the leadership of this church, that the winds of change were blowing…

On October 2nd, 2005, we held the first meeting of the Cowboy Church, and boy has God blessed us!!!

We have a great band...  an awesome band...  that is truly dedicated to bringing God Glory through coiuntry and Bluegrass Music.

May our Great, and Awesome God continue to richly bless each one of us as we continue to pray and seek His will for His church here in Circleville, and in our everyday lives-
